Rose Branch

This East Texas woodland home is organized as a line that follows the natural contour of the site. A quiet entry forecourt is framed by stone walls and offers a glimpse of the taller, transparent great room beyond. To ensure breeze crosses through the line of the house, a generous dog run intersects the building. This informal entry is the bridge between the hilltop forecourt and the natural draw, where swimmers can take in the sunset, the tree line, and the many birds that visit the site.
