In 2014, a young San Antonio family purchased a renovated home in the vibrant Lavaca neighborhood. They first engaged Smithdish to develop a master plan of the entire house, which prioritized an updated kitchen to serve as the heart of the house. With the first phase complete, they can now enjoy a kitchen featuring more daylight, more storage, and a large island for cooking, entertainment, and school projects. The interplay of bright, clean cabinets with dark counters and bronze hardware, the warm walnut island top, colorful furniture and the seeded glass pendant lights reflect the family’s relaxed yet playful lifestyle.
